Protocol development

The Protocol is the result of 30 months (2007-2010) cross-sector engagement and review of IHA’s previous sustainability tools (the 2004 IHA Sustainability Guidelines and the 2006 IHA Sustainability Assessment Protocol).

This work was undertaken by the Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Forum.  To find out more about the Forum, its work programme and the trialling process for the Protocol, use the left hand side menu.
